per AJC Falcons beat writer: D Orland Ledbetter:

Here’s the unofficial working depth chart for the Friday Night Lights scrimmage at 7:30 p.m. tonight at Norcross High.

Don’t pay too much attention to the one and twos. You won’t see that much of them. Concentrate on the three, four and fives.

Linebacker Youri Yenga (Number 49, 6-1, 231) he’s moving well in space and has made some nice hits.

Weakside Linebacker – 1. Sean Weatherspoon (56), 2. Mike Peterson (53), 3. Spencer Adkins (59), 4. Youri Yenga (49).

I doubt he makes the team (could make practice squad), but DOL has mentioned him twice in 2 write-ups shows us he's making plays.

Among the undrafted rookies, players turning heads in training camp are fullback Lucas Cox (Georgia Tech), who has been proficient with his lead blocking; cornerback Kamaal McIlwain (Newberry), who has shown decent hands and speed; linebacker Youri Yenga (Southern Methodist), who has made thunderous hits and appears to have picked up the base defense

Nice to see UDFA's making a splash. Can only help those in the future that walk the same road.

Based on those reports, it looks like Youri has a very legit shot to be a special teams ace in the NFL. Go Youri, we are rooting for you.
