They looked a lot bigger than in years past and saw some good looking young freshman athletes out there. The team as a whole looked to be much deeper in most positions and more athletic than we remember, from lets say 3 years ago?
The very first drill out of the box at 7 AM for the whole team, was stripping the ball from the front and the back and retaining possession after the strip technique. It was taught by Ganz.

The WR's crew looks great and didn't miss many passes thrown. The 6'4 walk-on WR from Katy Cinco Ranch looked really good and didn't see him miss a pass, and is fast.

After watching the punters, we have a concern there. I hope Ganz can make that part of the team work, as it looks weak at this point, IMHO.

Kye Padron is huge......240 pounds huge and ran well and finished in the top on all the sprints.

PScott, Thanks for the recap. Sounds like some positives - Padron at 240 is impressive. Maybe the weight will help reduce some body damage from hits. Can't wait for the season.

Sounds promising. I guess losing the young man from Brownwood who could punt real well may have hurt us more than we think.

We just gotta score some TDs and keep punting from being an issue.

Or on 4th and Long...just throw long to our WR's, and if its intercepted?.....just tackle them quick and its a good as a long punt.
