Does SMU practice different than other college teams?
From everything I've seen our practices and preparation seem more similar to NFL teams I've followed as opposed to the college teams. Is this because we have so many coaches with NFL experience that also gets the guys to buy in?
What say you...

What are the differences that you have noticed between NFL and college practices? Just curious.

you can't wear full pads for first 3 days of practice under NCAA Rules-but SMU does practice more like NFL teams than most college teams

June Jones practices much the same as Bum Phillips old Oiler teams. Not a lot of contact during the week during the season. You have to remember that we have not exactly been very deep at many positions since June got here. Can't afford a lot of practice injuries. Will this philosophy change in the next couple of years?
