Aggies mention SMU-Houston as stop-gap for Big 12

From texags:
The biggest FU we can give to tu is to kill the LHN. To do this we must convince a majority of other Big 12 schools that it is a dead conference walking, and they too should abandon ship. This would take away tu's support while they try to get the LHN set up.
tu wants to go independent, but doesn't have the LHN in place yet to do it. They are just using the B12 as a sefety net until the LHN is established. If we leave for the SEC but other B12 schools stay put, they will replace us for a year or two with Houston (or SMU etc) as a stop gap measure to keep the B12 together.
To kill the LHN, we must convince other Big 12 alumni bases that the conference is dead and they need to jump ship.
This should be fairly easy to do. Point to the clause from Spadilly's LHN Contract about incentives if Texas goes independent and that it prohibits a formation of a Big 12 network.
Then point to more recent actions by Texas to undermine the legitimacy of the Big 12 (continuing to sign up high schools games for LHN, trying to blackmail Tech into being on the LHN, etc).
Making other schools realize that Texas is undermining the conference, will get them to jump ship too.
The worst possible outcome of everything for texas is being forced to change conferences (or try to go independent) without the LHN in place.
