Everything I've heard about Justin Sorrell indicates he is killing it in practice. He's a senior and he played well when given a chance last year. I say we start Sorrell besides Banjo and move Ryan Smith back to corner besides Crawford in the secondary.

Actually sounds like a pretty good idea. Get the best talent on the field. Does Smith have the speed to play corner? Was he ever at the position to begin with? Sounds like Richardson will be ready to roll pretty soon as well.

I say start Sorrell. We need 3 good safeties. Ryan could play the nickel.

Smith has the speed to play corner, but he also has the speed and strength to play safety. He did a good job last year, and didn't give any reason he should give up his job. 86 is right that we need three safeties (at least), but Smith should stay the starter.

Smith came in as a corner, and he only moved to safety out of necessity. He has never impressed at safety, but he hasn't been terrible. His room mate and fellow starting safety said he has turned in to a leader so hopefully he turns some heads this year.
