Expansion question

Curious question for you experts. Why is Boise St. not included in any expansion talks? Academics? Location? Size? All of the above? Just curious.

A little bit of everything. Boise State is a one-trick pony, their football team. They offer no TV market of any size, no recruiting beds, no other sports outside of football, are somewhat isolated from other major conferences outside of the PAC-10, are not condsidered a quality academic institution, etc. But they've made their mark and if they continue winning will continue to have doors open to them.

I guess I either missed, or at my age, forgot about that. Thanks for the info, although in reading it, it does appear the could be a good fit for the Pac 10 or Big 10.

The Big 10 will never take Boise. I doubt the Pac 12 does either.
