Aggies focus on SMU

Despite the rampant rumors of A&M's potential move east to the SEC, the No. 9 A&M football team is maintaining its focus on one thing: SMU, who the team will play on Sept. 4 in College Station.

"I don't worry about all that talk," coach Mike Sherman said. "We're pretty focused on what we've got to get done. We've got a really tough opener with SMU and we're working towards that."

Unfortunately, the most likely best part of all of this is more people will be aware of our game against ATM and will be tuned in to watch SMU realign the Aggies.

SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Aggots may totally be off focus for this game against SMU..... this SEC talk is consuming every ag from college station to every dinner table. Even the players are twittering about it. SEC said no today but the Aggots are saying this is a legal ploy to avoid the SEC being sued and that within a week or two Aggy will leave the Big 12 on its own and then be offered a spot in the SEC without any legal repercussions.

If there was ever a game when one team (SMU) was focused on the game and the other team had something else entirely differnt on its mind (aggy), this is the game. Go in with some heart, hitt'em in the face and take the lead early and you never know what that could do to a bunch of entitled football player who have been told since they got to A&M that they are super stars and should be playing for national championships and in the SEC.

We are going by motor coach (bus) and returning the same day.

Make your plans... this could be SWEET.

It will be my first trip down to Kyle Field since our cheerleader knocked the sword pointing aggie on his rump.

As of checking my mailbox tonight, I'm not sure how you're going down there.
