I hear Oklahoma, OK State and 2 other B12 schools approached Big Ten as package and were told no. Academic reasons.

Big Ten "academic issue:" All its schools are in prestigious Association of American Universities - OU, OSU aren't

The original 11 of the Big Ten are in the AAU. Not newbie Nebraska.

This absolutely means there will be a Big XII, even if UT leaves. OU most likely has no real other options if not the SEC.

Missouri might be the only Big XII school to be able to get into the Big 10 (outside of Texas of course).

Doubt KU can ditch KSU from a political standpoint. And I doubt Big Ten wants any part of KSU

I would agree that Missou would be a logical expansion target for Big 10 if they are determined to keep pace with the SEC, but the question is...how many more Big 10 network subscriptions does Missou deliver? St Louis may already be a strong market with the Chicago/St Louis connection

Big 10 showed they are interested in expansion into the Northeast...where major growth potential exists
