Let me start by saying I would LOVE to see us take A&M at Kyle. Just to hear that crown be silent would probably bring tears to my eyes.
But the reality of it is that I am nervous we don't have the talent to go down there and win.
I am not bashing anyone, I was just curious of everyone's realistic thoughts about our chances.
Thoughts?
Thanks!

We seem to pee down our leg more than the other team ramming it down our throats. I remember we fumbled the ball on our goal line to give TCU the easiest 6 points ever. That can't be done against a team with better talent.

I'm hoping it goes something like this:

This is our best chance to knock off a top 20 team they are distracted they smashed us last time plus every time the iggies get ranked in the top ten(they dont deserve that ranking by the way) they implode we have a legits shot at beating them.I will be there

I hope June busts out some shades like the ones he has on during this game. I also hope our offense resembles this one...

We haven't run a real run 'n shoot like that in any game except perhaps Hawaii Bowl, so we won't against the aggies. If we can get the ball moving with Line, and if Padron and the WRs are in sync, and capitalize on aggy mistakes/turnovers we could do something. We have to have a radically different team from the Armed Forces Bowl with no warm up game.
Most likely we will get beat handily by a vastly superior team trending up from last year. Probably look a lot like the Tech game where we are respectable but clearly outclassed. In football however, there is ALWAYS a chance.

We have the talent. We lack the depth. We need some breaks and come out fast and strong. The concern is late in the game they wear us down. We are better now than two years ago but still thin in some areas. The O has to play turnover free offense and the D needs to generate some turnovers. Solid kicking game and we have a chance.

we will need a Nevada type performance to have a chance...but I at least believe it could happen. Upsets are common in the opening weekend

Oh, it's nice to see Pam Wood has been dreadful at calling football games for over a decade and it wasn't some bizarre, sudden deterioration sometime in the 2000's.

I disagree on the depth, as its there ...finally. The size is equivalent to major D-1 programs this time and really think SMU has a real chance to knock them off down there( Being a homer aside). Forget that damn Armed Services Bowl....as I have.

No chance we look like that in a road opener especially without weapons like Rolovich, Lelie and Owens.

We have got to jump on them early to have any real shot in this game. If we do in fact win, I believe we will race out to an early lead (24-10 type score). They make a charge in the second half, and we hold on to a win 34-31 type win.

I think we can win for sure. Especially because A&M is known to underachieve when they are praised. This game sort of reminds me of the game where TCU went to Norman and beat a good OU team. This is our chance to get our first signature win.
