Honestly all the hype surrounding A$M and their constant exposure on ESPN as of late came at the perfect time. All eyes will be on A$M to see if they are actually worthy of the SEC. The 30 for 30 at the end of last season also will make this game more interesting to college football fans across the country who now know the story of SMU.

The game with A$M will most definitely be highlighted on ESPN and the exposure could pay great dividends in terms of recruiting and confidence to our team as long as we are competitive. We really have everything to gain and little to lose. The last time I checked the spread was 16.

Game day cannot get here soon enough. If the gracious football gods could deliver an upset win this game could be a turning-point in the history of SMU football.

Why should they not be confident? They return a potent offense, and have never had higher expectations. Many of us are predicting a win as well. Every fanbase has unrealistic expectations

The point is not that they have high expectations harry, it is that with all this drama and their current position this is a must win and they want a big win margin. This in turn creates a wonderful opportunity for our team to put up a result- not necessarily a win either although that would be monumental. A good result will give us good press and help our team down the road.

Not to mention some of them are c0cky aholes and it would be fun to knock them down a few pegs after being in the spotlight.

I am still into moral victories. But a victory in the scoreboard would really help the SMU program a lot.

I agree they have tremendous pressure on them as the spotlight is clearly on them. This is obviously a perfect time for us to be playing them. I am personally tired of moral victories, and want to see us get that signature win.
