PonyFans.com 2011 Season Preview

The SMU Mustangs' appearance in the Armed Forces Bowl had two results: one was the bitter disappointment of a loss, but also the fact that bowl games are now the way an SMU season is expected to end. Players, coaches and fans walked away from the game at Gerald J. Ford Stadium with a feeling of incompletion. By the time spring workouts rolled around, the discussion was not "if" the Ponies will reach a bowl at the end of the 2011 season, but rather "which one."

Over the next 17 days, PonyFans.com will publish the largest and most comprehensive season preview in the history of SMU football. Head coach June Jones, his assistant coaches and his players will discuss how the Mustangs have prepared for a season saddled with the highest expectations in decades, as the Ponies take aim at a Conference USA championship and their third consecutive bowl appearance.

Enjoy!

Aggies have awesome video coverage of their practices. I wish June would allow the live updates or video updates to happen.

He did last year (at least the live updates) but some things happened to turn him against it. I don't think TCU allows it either.

Huh?

Love Coach Hill's comments about his guys. His assessment of Margus Hunt has me thinking we have four starting-caliber defensive linemen. Nice problem to have.

For some reason I am having trouble getting today's link to come up. Keep getting a page not found error. I'm sure you guys are working on it, but I have patience issues sometimes. :) These previews have been awesome and can't wait to read them all!

You guys are absolutely killing it on the preview ... as always.

My boss is none too thrilled, but my work day doesn't start until I'm caught up with your preview.
