imho smu and the pac 12 are a good fit. we fit in academically and are on the rise in football. the pac 12 would have a presence in texas.
the big 12 is not going to take smu. ut will make sure of that.
the sec is not a possibility.
the big east will not take smu. tcu will see to that.
big 10 is a very long shot but would be a brilliant stroke by them imho. just image the big 10 in big d on a regular basis. good for them and us.

Yeah SMU is hurting in that poll. But ppl are thinking about UH two-dimensionally. Texas doesn't want to be associated academically in any way with Houston. Also SMU is WAY more connected politically and in the world of academia. I firmly believe UT would prefer SMU. And UT is calling all the shots.

I'd rather go Big 10, but being as we are just like USC and Klemm already has Cali on recruiting lockdown, I'd say Pac12 is slightly less impossible.

I don't think either is likely, but I'd rather go to the Pac-10 any day.

Joining the boring, plodding Big 10, or visits to Tempe, Tucson, LA, Berkeley, Palo Alto, Oregon, Boulder, Washington ... absolutely no contest.

PAC 12 or BIG 10... at least pass whatever joint you are smoking first before you ask questions like that.
