What was THAT?

So I have ESPN on in the office (most of the time), and College Football Live just came on.

First story: SMU wants to get into the Big 12.

Lo and behold, they bring in ESPN analyst Craig James, who identified himself as an SMU alum and talks up why SMU would be a great addition to the Big 12 or any other AQ conference.

He then identified the Iron Skillet game as one of his biggest games of the year — for the whole nation.

Someone needs to check the temperature in Hell. I bet it's getting a little chilly down there.

THANK YOU, Craig! Great stuff — give us more of the same.

Someone better record it, because it would be the first nice thing CJ has said about us since he left....

We are on quite a roll with good publicity. We cannot lay an egg in College Station.

...and I was in an earthquake in DC and my house in Wilmington, NC is about to get hit by a hurricane...but Turner and CJ talking up smu football are surely signs of the rapture.

Serious question. What does all this mean?

We get mentioned locally, and then nationally through various sources and then CJ of all people comes out and makes a statement in favor of us joining. Is this just a PR push by the school? Did we actually start gaining some traction in the public eye? Does it really matter if we are mentioned or not, won't the Big 12 do what they want anyway regardless of public opinion?

I'm just confused over the real meaning. It's a good thing, but does it really help our cause that much.

Yes....If we sit and do nothing while this is going on and get left out RGT will be out sooner than he was expecting...

At least now he has an effort argument....

Need to push the Dallas argument, we are Dallas U., Great for local economy, road trips, more fans can see games, ect...

The Big 12 will do whatever ESPN wants them to do.

There's always a 1-uper in every group. Do you have any idea how long that took me to get on youtube from my phone?

After watching, it was like he had talking points on the benefits of SMU. He certainly hit all the right notes. Wonder if he got a briefing from the school.

Yours included the TCU part at the end, which the ESPN vid didn't have, so you still kinda win...lol
Thanks for uploading it.
