What about a Black Mustang Stallion that requires three brutes to keep from kicking the crap out of anyone who is not wearing red, white and blue.. Puruna could defend the honor of the soccer team..

In 1965 or 66 there was a major problem with rival SWC schools stealing rival mascots including Bevo, Rice's owl and Baylor's bear. Peruna disappeared the week of the TAMU game in the Cotton Bowl and was mysteriously returned minutes before the kick off. His tail and mane had been shaved, he was totally drugged up and looked terrible. Peruna staggered briefly along the home side lines then collapsed into a pile of snoring pony near the south end zone where he remained totally passed out for the remainder of the game. After the game they finally got him to his feet and into his trailer. Just another saga in the legend of Peruna.

Yeah. A lot of us can relate to staggering, drugged up, bald Mustang supporters.

1) Peruna was originally going, but then Peruna's people decided not to go because he would be put in a pen at the end of the stadium next to the cannon and would not be allowed out of the stadium to tailgate

2) That story is all kinds of wrong/mixed up. Peruna was "Stolen" by UT and shaved/painted etc...except it wasn't Peruna. They stole the wrong pony.

3) Peruna can kick Liberty and Justice's you know whats any day of the week.

4) Peruna IS a black mustang stallion. Liberty and Justice have not been stallions for quite some time.
