Preston Road Church of Christ is involved with leading a caravan of buses for 473 students to go to the A&M game. That's the church that Turner goes to. Pony Up!

473 SMU students traveling to an away game? I am kinda impressed. And also concerned about how long the kegs will last at the MC tailgate...lol

PRCC works with ONE28. An incredible showing when considering that A&M only gives out just over 3K visiting tickets.

Wonder how many of those 473 will be pulling for SMU? By the way, I'm a member of the the Saturn Road Church of Christ. Pony Up!

Sorry, same deal but it's a pretty awesome number so far.
If the church sponsored a group to the A&M game, it would heavily back SMU. Sort of like the ratio of Rice fans to UT fans at DKR-TX Memorial on Labor Day weekend.

I'm just glad we have so many students wanting to go to this game. Maybe a good sign for future home and away games.

1021 students or alumni and friends are listed as attending on the road trip facebook page. I think they sold to capacity.

I think there will be a surprising number of SMU fans, the number above doesn't include young alumni like myself. I know a couple different groups of friends (10-15 people each) that are headed down on Saturday...

I know S...M...U who is an alum (2010) is going with other young alums as well as more than 10-15 current students. I love seeing all of this student support, and I really wish I could go.
I tried in 2009 to get buses to the TCU game, but due to timing we could not secure enough buses to make it worthwhile. Two years later, they are at capacity. Damn, that's great.

My daughter will be one of the students on this trip - she is so pumped to be at this game!! The facebook page (with the over 1,000 students listed) was originally set up before they figured out the logistics of needing buses, tix, etc.
At AARO they made an announcement about the bus trip, tailgate (with ticket) and gave the kids a website to go to to sign up. They're wasn't anything mentioned about the church, just that it was being sponsered by ONE28 AND SMU Athletics.

Skillman CoC here. And no one ever mentioned this as far as I know. Wish some of our kids were going too.

That's right. ONE28 AND SMU Athletics. ONE28 has umbrella support and seems to be an awesome organization on campus. I hope it stays strong when my kids head to the Hilltop.
