Waste of cash...

I hope we don't spend a lot on this but I'm afraid of the truth. Does anyone know?

If it's more than 30k we are allocating in the wrong areas.

I agree. I certainly love it but I fear it is not helping get people with no connection to the program interested enough to buy a ticket.

i disagree. i think these shows are good for our image. i had quite a few people call/email/mention to me that they regularly watched the climb last year. people not affiliated w/ SMU at all. some of them did come to games/boulevard towards the end of the year. it's good exposure, and better than a dumb billboard that people gloss over.

It is a "better than the old style" coach's show. Most schools have one do they not? I like the different format.

This is far more expensive than a coaches show. I have never met someone who watch the climb more than once

I can see a recruiting angle but never on rivals has any kid mentioned the influence of the climb. Maybe it didnt air in Texas, because that hasn't improved.

Honestly if we spent 50k on this instead of billboards an ads. We wasted it...I do like the show just don't think it's a good resource.

Yeah. I always read about recruits signing because of billboards.

The Climb aired here in the Atlanta market, and I watched it. Loved the show. I wish they would show more shots of The Boulevard. Great Eye Candy!!

I had people from all over the place, tell me they were watching this show and loved it! I always recorded it, and believe that I saw every episode. Pony Up!

I've always seen the billboards as a way to advertise to the general public, aka "butts in the seats", not as a way to recruit athletes.
