Last paragraph sounds like legal threat with a big number attached.....to me. If we don't get the teams we want to replace you (and we have made the effort) and this thing explodes, you are liable.

and we are mentioned again. I realize it is only because we are the only program that has made a statement regarding the situation, but it is really getting our name out there. awesome. hopefully this continues to convince people we are the best option...which I believe we are.

I wonder why don't other schools like Houston put out announcements like ours?

I thought part of the delay in A&Ms announcement to exit stage left (or right, actually) was because the school and the Big 12 were working on the language — and money — involved that would allow the Aggies to walk and eliminate any legal claims that could be made against the school.

Then again ... GO PONIES! BEAT AGGIE HIGH!

Correct me if I'm wrong the TV negotiated by the B12 was after Nebraska and Colorado left. If A&M, who was a major factor and negotiator in the TV deal, leaves then they should stand to hold some liability.

Mizzu has no chance at big 10...they arent on short list...

I'm no legal-type but isn't that like saying if Dale Hansen (worthless blowhard, but still drives ratings) retired he could be liable when advertisers canceled their commercials during the news?

I actually think it's the Mizzou President and not the AD. He made some statements about keeping the Big 12 athletically and academically strong.

If he's sincere about academics I'm not sure how Memphis or Houston fit into that equation. I'd think it gives us a better shot with a president in charge who has to answer to faculty as opposed to an AD who just has to deal with "fans".
