Beef on the OL

Looking at the OL two deep, this looks like one of the first years in awhile that we have a good size at every position across the OL. I'm sure the SMU roster numbers are somewhat skewed as are every school's, but it is exciting to see us putting a group out there that will make defensive linemen take a look and be concerned about how they will put pressure on our QB.

I know I'm not the only one, but my goodness, I am excited about this season! A good coach is a big help, but finally having the size to compete with every team via Taylor Thompson, JT Brooks, etc. is a huge step in becoming a team that makes every opponent really game plan for us instead of the BS coaches speak that teams make when playing "Directional U".

I think it might be one of the best in the nation......but that's just me. I did, however, look up the team from the last Aggie game in 05 and our line this year has about 30 pounds a man more than back then. We won't be manhandled this year, that's for sure.

The thing that impressed me most last year about TCU was how athletic their offensive line was. We are blessed that our line isn't just big, but has some really good athletes on it. Hope they stay healthy and prove they are the best in the conference. And if the D line has a stellar year, then we will be in the CUSA championship game.

In football you're only as good as your offensive line. It's great to see the strides we're making in terms of getting athletic, A.Q. sized linemen. In addition to the depth chart stats, you can see it in the pics that PonyPride has from the practices. These are some big boys. I can't remember how many times I have gone to games where it is clear before a snap has been taken that we're outmanned. Definitely not the case any more.
