Orangebloods / chip brown - latestIn other words - "I have no idea" î•
Re: Orangebloods / chip brown - latest
Its moving very quickly towards Super Conferences (4-6) and the next two years will be interesting to see how it all ends up. The movement on all fronts by SMU officials is very proactive and will be what makes SMU a strong early candidate for a BCS position in a Super Conference.
Re: Orangebloods / chip brown - latestThe mouthpiece of DeLoss Dodds speaks!
one Big 12 administrator = DeLoss
One source close to the situation = DeLoss
a source with intimate knowledge of the situation = DeLoss Seriously, this guy is such a d.b. Has he ever quoted anyone without it being an anonymous source? Has he accurately reported anything to this point? This guy's information is about as useful as a post on Bleacher Report. (Although, I honestly think A&M was set to make their move on Tuesday, but decided to wait a day just so his report would be wrong)

Orangebloods / chip brown - latestWhat's weird is the talk about Pitt/Louisville. Big East football isn't very strong. Add TCU and lose two?
Re: Orangebloods / chip brown - latestdude from the AAS says he thinks Texas, OU, OSU & Tech will head to the PAC 12.
Re: Orangebloods / chip brown - latestIf the Texas and Oklahoma schools move to a different conference, would the BSC consider a conference made up of the Big XII-II-I-IV leftovers + some new schools? Would there be a place for a new conference with Baylor, Mizzou, the Kansas schools and Iowa State and additions from non AQ confernces? IF so would that conference be as appealing to TV audiences as CUSA?
Or could CUSA invite some key members (Mizzou, K State, KU +/- Baylor) and have a super conference of its own? As others have suggested, might it be time to position CUSA to be super conference with some strong state schools from previously traditional big conferences?
Re: Orangebloods / chip brown - latestMy question is whether a depleted and repopulated big-xii keeps BCS status vs. whether an augmented C-USA could gain that status?

Re: Orangebloods / chip brown - latest
Good questions- I wonder if BB has even approached anybody- NCAA-BCS- on the possibilities of CUSA becoming AQ with some addl schools. GO PONIES!!!
Re: Orangebloods / chip brown - latest
One of the great unknowns at this time. I have faith that Orsini is on top of it and working to increase our chances of BSC status regardless of a depleted Big XII-II-I-IV or a pumped up on steroids CUSA.
Re: Orangebloods / chip brown - latesti heard like RGV. A buddy who is ut alum in austin hears word that pac 12 talks on again. Go Ponies!
Re: Orangebloods / chip brown - latestWhy on Earth would they add Pitt? Adding schools thousands of miles away does nothing to ensure long-term viability. I think Texas wants to make it look like they are trying to save the Big 12, but in reality, they are not.
Some people simply forget just how bad it was...
Re: Orangebloods / chip brown - latestThe addition of a Pitt, Louisville or Memphis only supports the thought that the whorens will be gone in a short amount of time and have no commitment to the b12-3.
GO PONIES!!!
Re: Orangebloods / chip brown - latestYes, UT, TT, OU and Okie St to the Pac 12 is alive and kicking. Norm reported earlier that a writer at the Statesmen says the conference is aggressively pursuing the four Big XII schools, and wanting to get it done soon.
