UPDATE VI: John Henderson of the Denver Post also speculates on the viability of what it would take for BYU to agree to join the Big 12.

"BYU's interest is contingent on keeping its BYUtv network and six-game agreement with Notre Dame," he wrote.

BYU is on the fence, and SMU is the team left out in the cold despite actually wanting to be a part of the Big 12.

"A Big 12 source said the conference has no interest in another Texas school when it still has Texas, Baylor and Texas Tech," Henderson reported.

Sounds like the key is Texas & they'll definitely block us.

So, unless the lil12 'aggressively' expands, it doesn't look good for another Texas team to join. In a way it makes sense in light of the bad taste left in the mouths of the lil12 North members towards the Texas teams over the years.

Perhaps the Big East may not look that bad afterall if this is the New College Football" & how it's going to be played.

We know one thing for sure, the last 20 years of the administration's diddly-dumb way of managing (leading) our atheltic dept. has now come home to roost.
