Silver Lining Awards list

OK. We all know that the team sucks, our head coach sucks, our defensive coordinator sucks, our QBs suck, our OL sucks, our defense sucks. The only positive thing going for us is the expertise on ponyfans.com to which no coach will listen.

So, as an optimistic aspect I would like to make a list of the Silver Lining Awards from the game. I know it will be a short list but there were some good things. Lake Highlands Pony and Pony Snob can take a break for a while since they do not even fine good things when we win. :D I will start with:

1. With the exception of one errant one in the last minute of the game, all snaps to our QBs were perfect. This includes both centers.

2. Margus Hunt showed that he will be a continuing force on kick blocking that I predict will be the difference in one of the big away games we need to win this year.

3. Zach Line will be a major force in CUSA and I predict will be a Doak Walker last cut finalist this year.

4. On a couple of occasions the QB actually hit our receivers in stride and we were able to witness YAC which has not been common in the past couple of years. If the wind will cooperate, I expect some dazzling YAC from DJ and Beasley this year.

5. I woke up breathing this morning and the sun arose in the east.

If anyone else would care to add some nominations to the Silver Lining Awards list feel free.

one of the best if not the best showings, attendance wise, by SMU fans at a road game

We play UTEP next we who barely beat Stony Brook. Winning is the best medicine at this point. After we do that everything will be better.

4. The temps are under 100 all week and low 60's, high 92 on Saturday

5. Again, Zach Line is a stud.

Jeff Fuller didn't scorch our DBs (assuming he was healthy)

Our WRs were utterly wide open at many times throughout the game.

Do not know if you were at the game or not, but they announced that Fuller said he was at 75%. So we may not be able to silver line this one.
