How bad will we miss Aldrick Robinson?

Seemed to me that one thing different last night from years past, was a lack of any deep routes.
I only recall one or two fly routes, and were never open by more than a half step at that. AR always seemed to make the defense shade a safety to his side of the field and stay deep, opening up the middle crossing routes, or lanes for Line.
Once the ags realized their corners could stay with all our receivers, it allowed their safeties to move closer to the line, thereby shutting down Line and any routes between the hash marks for 15 yards.

The DBs we played last night areblikely the best group we'll see al year. I think our WRs will see more separation in future games just by default.
It was good to see Wilkerson get some catches, and he may be our best hope at a deep threat (although Beasley or Johnson might prove me wrong).
In the end, this was our first game, and it was against a top 10 team.

We'll miss Al, but we have some guys who can get downfield. Wilkerson, Thompson, Holman, Holleman ... we'll be OK. TCU will have good DBs, too, but we're not going to see any better than we saw in aggietown.
I was thrilled to see Wilkerson play as well as he did. For a guy who hadn't been in a game for more than a year, he did a great job shaking off rust and making some plays against an exceptional defense.

That is the one thing about this years team, no real #1 receiver. Padron has had a true #1 in each of his 1st two years, no without one, you have to wonder if he can create a #1 receiver out there.

TW was definitely a bright spot. Beas and DJ3 made some great catches as well.

I do not like to criticize any player who is working as hard as he was able, but several people have praised TW, and he did well overall, but he dropped 2 crucial passes in the middle of the game that could have provided momentum.

I thought our receivers were the only part of the team that showed up! My seats were so bad though I don't think I am in a position to judge anything. Our defense looked like a no show--especially on their outside receivers. What did the A&M do to destroy our DL on those runs? Looked like they had six offensive lineman to our three DL?

Mex I was sitting across from you and those were the worst seats I've had at a football game 95% of the time I was watching this
