Wall Street Journal suggests that ... "There needs to be an alternative term for "superconference," the word universally used for the 16-team conferences that could soon reshape college football. Maybe "stupidconference." Or "pseudoconference."
"Super" connotes great. Superior. Coming to save the day. College football definitely could use saving, that's for sure. But the potential onset of the superconference era is one of the many ills it needs saving from."

If Oklahoma goes west, we (college football fans) will not like results. It will be the straw that breaks the camels back. OK and UT need to find common cause to reinvent the Big 12 and ensure its long term role as a Southwest / Great Plains BCS conference. If it goes, super-stupid-pseudo-conferences will result.
