Posted: Mon Sep 05, 2011 4:22 pmRivalry games can continue regardless of conference affiliation. Clemson/S.Carolina have a great rivalry and haven't been conference mates in a long time. I hope I will always enjoy watching SMU play (and maybe someday beat) TCU
I've never really considered Texas or A$M our rivals...once upon a time conference mates, yes...but rival? nope. much too lopsided in those series.
Texas/OU will survive as will OU/OSU and I don't think the formation of the PAC 16 will diminish AZ/ASU or Oregon/OSU or Cal/Stanford or UCLA/USC
Texas can continue their rivalry with A$M if both choose; much like Florida/Florida State
