SEC Vote

Postby SMU 46 » Tue Sep 06, 2011 4:37 pm

Andy Staples article saying the SEC presidents are voting tonight regarding aTm.

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/writers/andy_staples/09/06/realignment/

"By Tuesday night, the SEC should know whether it has the required nine presidential votes to extend an invitation to Texas A&M, which sent a conditional withdrawal letter to the Big 12 last week. If the Aggies get the invitation, they will accept and announce as early as Wednesday their intention to join the SEC. Then, things could get wild."

CMF- yes, the fans were classy this year. Unfortunately I remember very well 23-26 yrs ago when we were kicking their tail and believe me they sure weren't classy then.

They were downright rude. But Jackie Sherrill was setting the tone back then. You may recall that he spent the entire week before the Cotton Bowl attending Pitt practices and briefing Foge Fazio on our offense and personnel. Classy huh?

Topper- there is no event or disease that could happen to Jackie Sherrill that would ever make me have any sympathy for him. IMO he is the biggest lying scum-bag that ever coached a sport.

Fans at A&M were very nice. Only had one guy yell at us and it wasn't that bad. Compare that to UCF where we didn't even get out of the parking garage before someone dropped the "F" You SMU on us.

Aggies are nice folks. Sherrill was a two bit slimy car salesman. Why would Pitt listen to him anyway - we owned him back then - if he knew so much how come he never could beat us.

topper- yep- I should have included 'little freddie' in my comments as well. I don't really dislike too many coaches but those two I totally despised.
