Agreed. The primary basis of Coach Mason's scheme is that the LB's blitz like crazy while our big front line collapse a pocket. Didn't see much of any of that against the Aggies. LB's were not effective, secondary played WAY off the receivers and front line was hit or miss in their attempts to push the A&M O-line. Granted, A&M has far more talented players than what we will likely face in conference, but the D should seriously be demanding a shutout effort of themselves against UTEP on Saturday. Weak zone defense ain't gonna cut it.

To me, it seemed that our LB's were between the hash marks all night. They didn't make a lot of plays on the outside.

IMO- our D looked terrible and very porous. Reminded of the D a couple of years ago when we were all wondering why Mason was the D coach. We simply did not seem to get any pressure on their QB, their backs ran over us almost at will and our pass defense was almost non-existant. Very disappointing. Things are going to have to change if we really believe that we will be conference champs.
