I would take them, I loved watching the TCU Baylor game. Reminded me of the good old SWC days.
Both schools would travel, it would be good for attendance. I don't care that they used political strings to get into the big12, we would have if we could have. And would be funny to have Art and Phil back in CUSA. Poor guys.

We would welcome them. They have built decent football and basketball programs. It would only add strength to CUSA and re-establish a good local rivalry.

I don't even understand the question. Baylor has done nothing wrong here by asserting its rights.

we'd take Baylor in a heartbeat-it might be one of only 2-3 games on our schedule anyone really cares about

I would definitely take them for the reasons mentioned. People giving them grief for having the courage to stand up and say "hey, we don't want to be the last passengers on the B12 Titanic" need to give it a rest. Promises were made to keep the Big 12 together and they are being broken all over the place; bridges between UT, OU, A&M and the rest of the conference aren't just being burned, they're being carpet-bombed, and BU is well within its rights to try and protect themselves. And by the way, they knocked off a top 25 team in week one, so the joke of the B12 ain't so funny anymore. Come on over, Baylor; we'd love to have you and your BCS points.

Agreed. There are no villians or heros in all of this. It's simply every school for itself. Dog eat dog. Texas A&M has every right to leave the Big-12 and go to the SEC. And Baylor has every right to take the actions it feels necessary to protect itself from the extensive collateral damage that will result from A&M's departure.

The fact is that realignment means a few winners and a lot of losers. Thus far, the model has been for the winners to move on to greener pastures whenever they please, while the losers just have to take it and desperately back-fill to survive. But the more this insanity continues, the more losers there are going to be. . .and the more the losers are going to fight back with every weapon they have. Baylor may not be able to stop A&M in the long run, but they can inflict some pain. And they can make it expensive for A&M, OU, UT, etc. (both legally and politically). You can bet they're going to do that. A&M's going to have to pay through the nose to get out of the Big-12 scot-free.

I think the debate is, where were these guys when we were getting booted out of SWC?

The thing this does, to me, is to send a message not so much to College Station but to Norman.
