T. Boone PickensT. Boone Pickens Predicts Big 12 Survival, Equal Revenue Sharing
Can Texas find room to share, while retaining Longhorn Network? Could work for BYU and other regional schools in current Big 12, i.e. OK, KS and MO. http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-football/2 ... xas-am-sec Pony Up
Re: T. Boone Pickenswell this is provided baylor prevails in scaring the SEC off, which would leave such a bad taste in my opinion that A&M would do everything they could to relegate baylor to the 7th ring of hell

Re: T. Boone PickensA&M will find their way out to the SEC eventually. Someone might have to pony up some serious cash to make it happen, but they'll get their wish. And the Big 12 WILL stay intact, IMO- provided OU stays which I think they will- I think the Pac-12 is content now. In that case, it makes zero sense for MU, ISU, KU, and KSU to bolt to Big East, which could get raided at any time by ACC or Big Ten.
Re: T. Boone Pickenst boone has a different prediction every week.
Re: T. Boone PickensThe wind blows in different directions every week. This week it looks like the revenue distribution problem will be solved and A&M will stay in the Big XII. Thus holding the conference together. A&M is a better fit in the Big XII than they are in the SEC in my opinion. They are better academically than most of the SEC, and that would allow both the SEC and Pac-12 to remain at 12, the Big XII to remain at 10, and BYU to remain independent, which seems to be what they want right now.
Re: T. Boone PickensIMO the issues with a&m are not exclusively revenue distribution. The whorens arrogance and desire to control all things b12-3 is also a big problem- and I don't think it is just an issue with a&m but many of the other schools as well.
GO PONIES!!!
Re: T. Boone PickensIf UT wants to have a Big XII conference, it's up to them to quit being so greedy and allow the other schools to compete. After all, when is enough enough?
Re: T. Boone PickensI think Okla. State Board of Regents are going to vote next week to rename school, T.B. Pickens U.
He seems to be the unofficial official spokesperson for the school.. GO MUSTANGS!
Re: T. Boone PickensThey were also going to add a school of animal husbandry but then found out all they had were geldings.

http://texas.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1263009 B12 in salvage mode as OU contemplates future Chip Brown Orangebloods.com Columnist Talk about it in Inside the 40 Acres EQUAL REVENUE SHARING IN B12? Desperate times call for desperate measures, and eight of the nine remaining members of the Big 12 appear to be in agreement to have equal revenue sharing from the Tier 1 (ABC/ESPN) television contract that runs through 2015-16, multiple sources said. The move, which is being supported by Texas athletic director DeLoss Dodds, according to sources, is aimed at trying to hold a beleaguered conference together after a week of intense acrimony. Messages left for Dodds Friday were not immediately returned. The Big 12 has never had equal revenue sharing from its Tier 1 television rights in the 16-year history of the conference. In a gesture of unity, the Big 12 agreed in April to equal revenue sharing from its second-tier television rights with Fox upon signing a 13-year, $1.17 billion deal. Unequal revenue sharing in the Big 12 has long been a complaint among the schools with the smallest athletic budgets in the conference. Currently, the unequal revenue sharing in the Tier 1 rights allows the schools who appear on TV the most to collect the most money. But that would change under the new proposal, sources said. The sources said there appears to be consensus among eight of the nine remaining schools in the conference to share Tier 1 revenue equally. Oklahoma has yet to weigh in on the matter, sources said. Re: T. Boone PickensI don't believe it but UT and ND to Big 10 would be a huge break for SMU-leaving a bunch of schools with nowhere to go. The remaining teams might actually need SMU in Dallas
