So SMU sold about 2000 of its official allotment to aTm..

So Baylor beat TCU, has a heisman candidate QB, and plays A&M in October...

Maybe this was before this week's fallout, but one source says Baylor returned 3,020 of their 3500 allotment. I think 760AM is a San Antonio sports radio station

BU returned 3,020 of 3,800 their tix to A&M! They didn't even buy 800. Kansas sold 1750! Baylor sucks.

Each opponent is allotted 3,850 tickets at Kyle Field and the only school to take its full allotment has been Texas.
The number of tickets purchased thus far by the visiting schools:

SMU 1,988
Idaho 264
Oklahoma St. 1,428
Baylor 830
Missouri 1,600
Kansas 1,750
Texas 3,850

the Baylor blockade just went down in the last few days...I wouldve thought before the season they would have sold a lot more, and whatever they didnt sell wouldve been gone the day after the TCU game

I'm sorry but that is impossible-come on Baylor has 15,000 students-I can confidently say that's just incorrect. That's a pretty big rivalry and Baylor travels 3 times better than SMU. Its also too early to return tickets. There's something more to this story

Also from the above story:

Since many tickets have been returned, Aggies have already purchased the remaining available tickets for the Oklahoma State and Baylor games.

I was going to post asking for people's thoughts on our fans travel to A & M. Given it was a long shot to win, I was impressed with our turn out. How did it compare with what we did in 2005.

Hard to believe we have the most traveling fans outside of Texas. If Baylor thought they were good, why wouldn't they travel.

Baylorfans has a big thread on it-They don't believe it either but the best I can tell A&M may have imposed a preseason deadline on purchase of seats to all schools even if the game was 1-2-3 months away. Many were unaware there was a deadline. So I guess its possible but it really doesn't reflect the true numbers Baylor could sell to that game. SMU being the first game had fans more tuned into buying early-Baylor doesn't play A&M for awhile. I bet there will be more Baylor fans anyway. What a [deleted] policy by A&M if true. Demanding ticket alotments back months before a game sucks.

Makes sense and that policy wouldn't surprise me. A & M thinks this is the season for them. They are up and texas is down. They are extremely giddy down there.

this year's attendance at a&m dwarfed the attendance in 2005

I was thinking that the attendance was even better than our last trip to TCU.

For what it's worth, I was told that we sold our entire allotment.

During the game, the PA made an announcement that tickets returned from other schools would be made available to students who did not purchase the sports pack. They could line up on Tuesday (earlier this week) at 7am to purchase tickets. Looks like they did require a pre-purchase before the season.
