Attendance - UTEP

Postby peruna11 » Fri Sep 09, 2011 2:10 pm

According to ticketmaster, there are only 1,878 tickets remaining to be sold for Sat.

Is there any way we'll be that close to full tomorrow?

What gives? Operation Sellout? Bus Brigade? Dallas is just that pumped for ponyball??

I understand from friends that the Frisco Football league extended an invite to anyone that wanted to attend. It was well received by players and families and I know many that are excited to be at the game tommorrow. Even though many have lived in Dallas 10+ years this will be their first time on campus.

Go Mustangs!

Maybe we could invite the Allen H S Band to use the remaining 1,800 tickets.

Attendance - UTEP

Operation Sellout is clearly a big piece of this. We've made a huge effort to place the tickets in the hands of people that are committed to attend, but I can't go to their homes tomorrow and physically round them up. I have boulevarding to do.

I met with several people in the athletic department this morning and was very glad to hear about the direct impact of the AQ effort around Dallas (in very specific terms). A lot of the Dallas officials realize having a university in an AQ conference will benefit the city. Hopefully, we start drawing this group to games beginning tomorrow.

I've always thought a band competition would make sense on the blvd or after the game.

With the weather predicted for tommorrow, there is no reason that we don't have 30k people in the stands. There is no excuse if we don't have 5k students in stands. The gates and ticket window better be ready.

Looking forward to some time on the 'vard and a beatdown of UTEP. A great crowd would be a fantastic bonus.

I might buy a couple and go tomorrow (I was schedule to work tomorrow, but my schedule changed last night and I'll get out at 5pm allowing me to go but missing the 'vard). Now the question is if I should go ahead and buy tickets and rush to the game after work, or just save some of that money for next week's game?
