He's really just insane. I'm not sure I've ever seen anything so random become so predictable. What a special teams monster

This.
Since when did blocking a kick become an expectation for a player on such a regular basis? Remarkable.
Margus = awesome.

7 blocked FGs and 6 blocked PATs. Here are the official records he is creeping up on:

Code: Select all
FIELD GOALS

8—James Ferebee, New Mexico St., 1978-81
8—Terrence Holt, North Carolina St., 1999-02

EXTRA POINTS

8—Ray Farmer, Duke, 1992-95

COMBINED

19—James Ferebee, New Mexico St., 1978-81 (5 punts, 6 PATs, 8 FGs)

Hasn't this won games for us? Margus is the MAN.

I hope like heck he gets paid to do this in the pros. If a guy can make hundreds of thousands of dollars a year to snap a ball, he should be able to make a million if he can deliver 5 or 6 blocked kicks a year to a pro team.

I was yelling MARGUS! MARGUS! MARGUS! when Matt Kalil performed his best imitation last evening...

USC's Matt Kalil, the 6-foot-7 offensive lineman, blocks Utah's last-minute field-goal attempt to help secure a 23-14 victory over the Utes.

Game would have been 21-20 in the 4th Q without that block-heck it might have been 23-21 UTEP as I think he affected the first missed FG-he's definitely won multiple games especially in 2009

He definitely affected the first kick.

He has amazing hand-eye coordination especially knowing that he is getting blasted by blockers from below at the same time he is jumping up and looking to block the football. It would be easy to be distracted by protecting yourself instead of focusing on the ball. Its a special talent indeed.

Margus played very well last night on D. Got an excellent push up front. He's really improved.
