When did we switch from Baylor to Northwestern State? I guess I missed it.

Baylor chickened out and bought out our contract.
Put some Big 12 money in our pockets.

I thought that the fact the big XII-2-1 added a conference game meant that someone had to be dropped, it was us.

those are both true. baylor had to buy out of a game, and baylor chose to buy out of the smu game.

So they were more chicken of us than TCU?

no, but a win over TCU would do more for their program than a win over SMU. and a loss to TCU would not set them back one bit, whereas a loss to SMU would look a lot worse.

Actually the TCU game was a Baylor home game. They needed to drop an away game.

MRydel is right. If SMU was told it was adding a conference game and had to drop a nonconference game, of course fans would want an away game dropped as opposed to a home game.

I'm really glad we don't have to play Baylor with Robert Griffin III. Don't we play them next year?

i'd MUCH rather play NWSt than BU this year. but then again, i've always been a proponent of loading up non-conf games w/ easier teams. the only way to bust the BCS is to be undefeated.

We do play them next year and Robert Griffin III is a junior so he could very well be their starting QB in 2012.

So next year he is Robert Griffin IV?

Whatever his title is next year I hope it includes "NFL Quarterback".
