Against nw state to make you happy?

I will be happy if we score one more point than the other team. Same as every other week.

Bingo — let's do this 10 more times (or actually 12) this season.

I'm more interested in the total score, and I won't be happy with just one more than NW State. I want to see a 56-0 type blowout. The D should be able to shut these guys down, and I hope to see the offense shows signs of life.

What does a blonde say when she sees 6.9?

A 69 interrupted by a period

It would be nice to beat them more convincingly than PB's team beat SHSU in 2006, which was 45-14.

other 1aa scores to compare as a benchmark:

JJ's first year, 47-36 over Texas St
JJ's 2nd year, 31-23 over SFA

I don't anticipate a blowout, although it certainly would be nice and definitely is possible. But with more and more emphasis being placed on the running game while JJ McDermott gets used to running the offense, the clock will get chewed up while points and yards are collected.

As long as our record is 2-1 Saturday night, I'm good. Then get ready to go to 3-1 next week.

If we beat them by one point, you and everyone else on this board is in full meltdown mode, so don't act like the win is the only thing that matters.

50ish.

Or more importantly, sustained drives with successful passing including short, medium, and long range throws, in the context of an offense, not just running by the inferior talent and catching it. In other words, I'd like to see a Run 'n Shoot that looks like Hawaii and not like Padron running around making something happen. If we do this, and bizarre NWSt. ball-control freakness prevents us from scoring 50, I'll be happy.

This would make me happy as well. We should put up some points and dominate like a FBS should dominate a FCS. Total points and point spreads are hard in a game like this because if it gets out of hand we will run the ball and ease up.

Points aren't the issue. Execution on both sides of the ball and better kick coverage are.

As long as we win by one point...and as long as every player is having fun...seriously!?! Did anyone saying this play sports beyond YMCA-level? I guarantee you nobody in the SMU locker room feels this way...and thank God.
