This quote has to make you wonder if this is the case in the event we don't blow them out.

Jones said film study has shown NSU is "very athletic and fast, and we need to play better than we did against UTEP" to beat the Demons Saturday.

You know it's going to be close. We love to play down to our competition.

What do you want him to say? We are going to kill them, the second and third string should get a ton of playing time, might even see Padron playing QB a little.

I agree with ed4l, I am hoping JJ in the first half getting a lead and KP the entire 2nd half. Looking forward to Jared running as well, giving Zach some rest. Anyone know who's on 3rd team O line?

We have 2 games to get our act together...both of these games should be blowouts...they couldn't have come at a better time....

Time to earn your cash...

You're probably right. It was probably just coach speak.

TCU played Northwestern (of the Big 10) in 2004, not NW St from I-AA (FCS)

you doubted me?

I stand corrected, though I think you can understand my error.

I will say though that this is not that NW St. team (they were 8-3 that year) nor is this that TCU team (they were 6-5 in CUSA)

You must be new to this sport. The quote was "coachspeak 101". When evaluating an opponent for us stupid fans, underpromise so if you lose or it is close he can say "I told you so". Those old-timers don't like to provide bulletin board fodder. Win big and it is "a great job by our coaches and players but we have to get ready for Memphis next week and they scare me having to go on the road to play in the historic Liberty Bowl ". On the other hand SMU has not beaten ANYONE by enough so the subs can play except for Nevada. Surprising since you would think the run and shoot would be providing many blowout opportunities.

They played LSU last weekend and can't play a better team than that. That's about all they have going for them.
