This Week's Stampede

Finally got around to watching this week's Stampede last night. I am going to reiterate that I really like that we have this high quality production highlighted the team, the school, the athletes, etc.

On second review of the game, I was not as upsset as I was when I left the game. Although there were some missed opportunities in the first half, and it certainly could be better, we should be pleased that unlike a lot of other games, we did not start sluggishly, but were able to move the ball and score repeatedly right out of the gate. Although at the time watching the game the second half seemed like the longest and worst trip to the dentist, we could do a lot worse than building a lead in the first half and relying on solid D in the second half. Still want to keep scoring though.

Other observations:

-Little DiamondM made an appearance in this week's episode and was super cute playing football on the Boulevard

-On the downside, our script writer needs to learn the difference between the name of our stadium, Ford STADIUM, and Ford FIELD, which is in Detroit. Also, the last line of the episode said the next game is against "Northwestern." Producers need to make sure stuff like this is accurate.

-I didn't notice at the game, but on the replay of Margus' blocked FG, he proceeds to celebrate before the play is over. Understandable, but I hope the coaching staff noticed too and has reminded Margus to stay on the play and not celebrate until after the whistle blows.

-One more thing, I noticed a nice inset giving the number for tickets. I hadn't noticed it in previous episodes, but maybe I just spaced. If it's new, it's a good addition.

I noticed the Northwestern thing too. They also said it was Margus' 7th blocked field goal of the season. I hope he gets 7 this season.

Wouldn't be surprised if the Northwestern "slip" was on purpose. Who cares about Northwestern State?

I noticed Crawford kinda taunting a receiver that missed a reception out of bounds...

I was thinking.. STOP, we do not need another flag.
