I can't think of a much worse result for us. Big 12 fills up and Big East dies.

In normal times, Pitt and Syracuse are much more logical choices for the ACC than some UT-plus-three pod of southwestern schools. But these are not normal times, and what the ACC must do is add televisions and keep the southernmost schools from looking at the SEC (Florida State just formed a "conference exploratory committee"). UT-plus-three does that more effectively.
But UT-ACC talks are not yet serious, per all the media reports. So we'll see. I never thought I might see Duke regularly in Austin. Weird.

not surprising, now West Virginia starts to panic. the dominos are out of control and where they fall no one knows. All smells like a huge anti trust case is brewing coinciding with the new BCS contract in what 2014? Utah and Orin Hatch sure got quiet didn't they? Exhibit A, your honor.

This is definitely not good for us. I also don't see it doing much for the whorens. If OU-OSU go to the PAC then the whorens may be left with a castrated b12-xxx. L'ville and Cincy would hardly replace the okie schools fball wise. So the b12-xxx will not be much more than CUSA when all is said and done.

Are you kidding?! This is potentially GREAT news for us. The best thing that could happen, especially if we don't get a big to a major conference (and it looks like we won't) is if an entire BCS conference crumbles.
First off, whoever said our best chance was the ACC is crazy. We aren't going to the ACC. What, UT goes and we go with them? No.
If the Big XII, and especially the BE gets eaten, then there are going to be schools left over, along with a spot for a non-AQ conference to move up - this is actually what the MWC was working toward for years. Whoever gets even, the MWC and CUSA are going to be scrambling trying to grab a couple of high quality programs and make a bid for AQ status. Could we land, say, a UCF or Louisiville? Who knows. They would hate it, but they would come if they had no othe options and THE CONFERENCE WAS AQ.
Lastly, don't buy that 4 16-school conference stuff. It's too messy, with players, like a Rutgers, WVU, and others who will find themselves left out. It will probably be at least 5, maybe 6 conferences as AQ's, just as it is now.
