I finally found the game on versus. I know NBC has a golf tournament televised currently on the NBC network. I am guessing if ND was undefeated and ranked in the top 10, they would be on NBC not Versus. Does this mean the "aura" of ND football is over, according to NBC?

one reason- it is important to non-BCS schools that Notre Dame never make it into the Top - I forgot exactly* -but I think they get an automatic BCS bid if they are in Top 8 or 10 or 12. That means 1 less bid for BCS Bowls. Notre Dame has sucked so bad for so long we forget that.
* According to Wikipedia they are eligible for BCS if they finish in Top 14 and are automatically included if in Top 8. Don't kid yourselves BCS Bowls will chose them if they are eligible over non-BCS teams

I will cheer any non-BCS team over Notre Dame. TCU, UH, Boise are not the enemy-the BCS is the enemy. The more success non-BCS schools have the better for all of us. Its amazing how few understand this basic concept. If recruits see that they have an opportunity to play at the highest level Bowls then a school like SMU can make the argument that they can go to SMU with that goal as well. If ND had blocked TCU, Boise in recent years then the argument is dead. Non-BCS schools need access to BCS Bowls. So far all non-BCS schools except for Hawaii have done a [deleted]' incredible job of shattering the BCS Myth. That allows sportswriters and Coaches to give the non-BCS schools a break in the Polls

I call Dumb [deleted] on myself. I just realized the ND game on versus is a repeat. Saw the green color of USF and assumed it was Michigan State.
My excuse, I Had to drive to San Angelo this morning to watch my son's cross country meet. Meet began at 8:30, had too have him at school by 5:30. It is a little over two hour drive from Midland on school bus. Been up since 4:30 this morning. So goes school athletics in West Texas.
