Navy. I watched them take a highly ranked South Carolina team to the limit on Saturday. Defending the option is very simple. Complete your assignment. Carolina had too many superstars to follow assignments. Everyone wanted to be a superstar. It almost cost them the game. The Gamecocks did have a blueprint for victory. Give it to Marcus Lattimore as often as possible. He had about 250 yards rushing in the game. We can do the same with Line.

Everyone does - Tulane and Rice can beat us.

With the exception of Memphis, virtually everyone remaining on the schedule worries me.

You are correct, they all look winnable. However, with some fairly pedestrian offensive play so far, they all look losable too.

Houston, TCU, Tulsa, UCF, and Southern Miss all look like seriously threatening opponents.

This is not in any way meant to be a pessimistic post, it's just that this years' team appears to have a very small margin for error. If they play well, they can beat anyone on their schedule. If they make mistakes, they can lose to anyone on their schedule. A UTEP-style effort will not be good enough for most of their remaining games. They must improve to win consistently.

I agree....until we get the QB/WR problems resolved all bets are off.
TCU, UCF, Southern Miss, Houston, and Navy are all big time worries.
Winning 7 or 8 games is going to be a battle each and every week.
I predict wide-spread panic on PonyFans before it's over, but still can see 7 wins.

We are not superstars and we have not beaten Navy the last 2 tries. I think we should give Navy credit as being a good team that we have failed to beat up to this point.

We SHOULD have beaten Navy each of the last two meetings...we just folded like a lawn chair.

Insane Pony Posse,

I guess everybody and nobody. We're a real questionmark, IMO.

Though NSU is not a good team by any stretch, the *way* we so completely dominated leaves open the possibility that we've improved every game so far this season. IF we were to beat Memphis in the same fashion this week that would only confirm the pattern.

I guess I'm a moderate buy right now on our team.
