• WR Keenan Holman didn't practice Tuesday after spraining his ankle on the Mustangs' first offensive play in their 40-7 win Saturday over Northwestern State. Holman said "someone rolled into it" after he made the catch, ending his day. Head coach June Jones said he expects Holman to return to the practice field "later this week." Holman said he hoped that was the case, but wasn't sure whether he would be able to play Saturday against Memphis. That, he said, would be determined later in the week, depending on how his ankle responds.
• CB Kenneth Acker sat out after reportedly chipping two teeth Saturday.
• RB Zach Line, according to Jones, has a sore shoulder and groin, but "he'll be ready."

Not sure where my brain was earlier.
Victor Jones said after practice that he will play Saturday against Memphis.
McJunkin practiced. He said last week he was hoping to play against Northwestern State, so I'm guessing he hopes to play this week.
Not sure about Banjo — I'll find out Wednesday.

• C Blake McJunkin took part in practice and reportedly is good to go Saturday. Not sure who starts, but he is ready to play.
• CB Kenneth Acker has had his teeth fixed, took part in all drills and will play.
• WR Keenan Holman remained out of practice, watching with a protective boot on his right ankle. But he said after practice that his sprained ankle is feeling better, and said that if he receives clearance from team doctors, he would like to resume practicing Thursday.
• FS Chris Banjo took part in all drills and proclaimed the stinger that sidelined him during Saturday's game a thing of the past. He said leaving the win over Northwestern State was a cautionary move allowed because the score was so lopsided at the time. Banjo said he will play Saturday against Memphis.

Talked to a fellow (Capt Teague of the USS Kitty Hawk) years ago. He played for Tex A$M back when Paul Bryant was coaching. He was an offensive lineman and a Fr.
They were playing in the pre facemask era.
He says early in the game he got his front two teeth knocked out. In pain and bleeding he stumbled over to the sideline. Coach Bryant came up to him and ask what he was doing. Teague answered that he was coming out because his front two teeth had just been knocked out.
Bryant answered, and I quote Capt. Teague, "Son, they’re not going to grow back here." Bryant sent him back in the game and replaced him after one play. He was then sent to have his toothless smile corrected in the state of the art fashion available then.
Teague said he learned a very valuable lesson that day and that was to not stop or quit because of some adversity. Bryant showed him he could continue to play (1 play of course) and then took care of him.
Not comparing then to now, just relating a story from the old SWC.
