Dodds: "Every man for himself." Of course non of the Texas universities are on the Dodds expansion list. He really is running the Little 12 isnt he?

I wonder if Dodds had anything to do with this development

Is ESPN taking an absolute bath on the LHN? Who watches it? Only a few providers in TX carry it from what I can tell. Also, what the hell are they programming besides 1-2 football games, a couple of basketball games, and women's volleyball? Infomercials?

I doubt if Dodds is pushing for TCU to Little 12. He doesnt want another Texas team in the BCS. Would probably love to get rid of Baylor.

I have seen some of the programming and I can say that I was pretty impressed. It is way way way better than I expected. It feels like you are watching ESPN. I saw a gameplan show with Mack Brown where he talks about the upcoming opponent and such, and a rewind show where Mack breaks down the film from the previous week. I am pretty sure that show parts of practices as well. I am sure that ESPN is taking a bath on it right now but its programming is pretty high quality for what you would expect. I would obviously love for SMU to have this.

Those Texas Fans that have seen the LHN are almost universally ecstatic about it

I would discount the popularity at this time. I remember when ESPN was a one game a week station that reran the game about 10 times until the next game was on the schedule. They had a few sports updates and that was all. They have progresed fairly well since then.

Question:
Although TCU and SMU do have not have the fan base of UT, doesn't it help the Longhorn Network with FB fans throughout the state? Add in UH and UT gets non-UT fans in the state to watch the programming, win/win. UT deserves the lion share of the LHN, non Big12 revenue due to size and tradition. Hell, just brand it as the Lone Star Network with UT at the center and you increase demand for this cable offering.

one would think, unless they think the hillbillies of West Virginia are gonna get it and watch it. would think we, TCU and UH could give it a boost.
