He said during the NC State vs Cincinnati game that if he were running the big 12 he would invite SMU, TCU, BYU, Air Force, and Houston/Rice and get the Big 12 up to 14.

if the SEC and ACC have 14, i don't see how the Big 12 thinks it can keep just 10, not play a champ game like every other league, and expect to be treated like an equal BCS partner. Yeah, i know, UT wants a shorter easier path to the championship, i get that, what i don't get is how the rest of the BCS could go along with that. Having at least 12 schools and playing a champ game should be a BCS prerequisite now.

I heard it too, and he was passionate about it. He mentioned SMU earlier in the game as well.

Why would they NEED to get over 10 if they will still keep BCS AQ status. Texas feels compelled to get back to 10. They may be forced to go to 12 but I doubt it.

Maybe. I just don't see the Horns allowing TCU and SMU in the conference. TCU adds legitimacy but right now we don't. I bet calls are made to WVU and Louisville if indeed they decide to go to 12.

Not that it matters but the general reaction among the twitter-verse of James' comment was pure laughter and dismissal.

I know he's an
SMU grad... but if I were the
AD I would politely ask him to stop mentioning
SMU and
BCS conferences. You've no idea how "many people" really do hate the guy.

I understand. Fortunately, most people outside of Texas have no clue about that whole fiasco...so I'm not too worried about it. Those people wouldn't want SMU in, regardless of what Craig James has to say.

There are an abundance of overweight people in Texas that spend all day on the couch. WVU likes to burn couches. WVU=more Texans in better shape. More Texans in shape=better recruits for UT.

It's like redneck CU on steroids that just found out his girlfriend has been cheating on him with 5 guys. WVU pastimes include burning couches, burning cars, busting windows, and pretty much lighting whatever else they can get their hands on on fire. The continually sweep the NCAA championships in riots started, longest riot, and most destructive riot.
