As I've been saying the antitrust suit brought by OU is hamstringing the ability of the NCAA to do anything about this.

Yep that was the Day-College Football changed forever-some for the Good (unlimited TV games on TV) but commercialism and greed too. Now we are entering Phase 2-you see the Supreme Court said the schools themselves own TV rights not the NCAA or the Conferences. ND, Texas and BYU are only now getting around to implementing their own networks. There will be different winners and losers in this Round.

Isn't most universities the losers with only a few monster state schools the winners? What maybe 10 or so. The difference from the haves to the have nots is about to get so much larger. Sad that it came down to this, though it was a matter of time.

There's a real easy solution. Boycott schools that have these huge contracts. UT, sorry, we can't play you until about 2025 or okay 5 homes for us, one for UT. ND, sorry. BYU, maybe Joseph Smith Junior College will want a game. We don't have to play games against them. If all of the FBS schools just kind of decided that they'd be better off not playing these schools, UT would have to decide whether or not it was worth it to only play their 9 conference games, and discover that they were in breach of their TV contract and ND would have its Navy game and that's about it. That's the next round of this. If CUSA, MWC, SBC and MAC all just did this one step, UT would be having to schedule games with tough teams to get TV dates and ESPN, NBC would be paying through the nose to get schools to play UT and ND. That is the ultimate next step.
