Has had several nice fakes and play actions. Has fooled the camera man about 4 times so far.

yep-I noticed at least 2. He's so tall I think he can lean over and hide the ball

executes those fakes much better than he throws those fade routes

I can't understand why he is not giving KP a few series. TCU's defense will tee off on McD. He doesn't move well enough and doesn't make reads quick enough

I'm afraid you are right; he looks like he is moving in slow motion at times

I'll be interested to hear JJ's postgame comments. Seems to me that McD has made bad reads several times throwing into double coverages. I think the play calling is partly to blame as well as JJ got so focused on the pass he ignored Line for a few series in a row.

all in all it's hard to argue with the numbers he's putting up today; receivers have really stepped up today. Let's just hope they can all be this productive next week and the rest of the year because we won't be playing Memphis or NW LA

Pretty average QB play if you ask me. He throws the ball that way next week we are going to struggle big time.

Don't forget our number 1 receiver was out for the majority of the game.

I realize that McDermott is a pretty average QB...but he's still way better than Padron. Padron had an incredible first season, yes, but then completely plateau'd or even declined ever since Hawaii Bowl

Completely agree, which is the reason I'm not especially thrilled after this win. But I guess if he throws the ball like that next week he'll have 3 picks early and we'll all have our wish of seeing Padron again anyway..

is he? we've seen him play against two horrible teams, and he hasn't exactly looked like peyton manning out there. His stats will look good from this game, and they should playing against that team, but I am reserving judgement until I see something against a decent team.

That doesn't excuse his many awful-looking throws. Against a legit opponent those will be picks or his target will get killed.

I thought our receivers played well. They were open on just about every play and made some great catches. Thompson broke 100. Wilkerson's fumble sucked
