Special Teams / TCU

Really concerned about kickoff coverage next week. Every game this year, the opposing team seems to go untouched until they get passed the 20. And I believe TCU had some great returns today. I also hope the TCU game doesn't come down to the field goal, JJ has had to give as many reps as possible to McD so we have gone for it many times on 4th down instead of giving our FG kicker much needed game time experience.

Think today was a great game, except the 3rd qtr. Not sure why we seem to start strong and then stall after halftime in most of our games. Is it because our team knows what play JJ is going to call for the first couple of drives beforehand, or is it because the opposing team is making changes in the locker room at half and we are taking to long to adjust to them?

Looking forward to see the team against TCU.

our kicking game always concerns me against tcu. they have excellent return teams and seem to burn us quite often. hoping we do better jobs of covering kicks than in the past. Go Ponies! Beat those froggies!

Would be great to have the game to come down to TCU needing a field goal... only to have a 6'8 monster break through the line and block all hope. Would make all the network highlight reals and put SMU in some great press. One can dream.

Thank God Kerley is not there to punt directly at.

lots of kickoffs would be a good problem to have. O Line needs to protect. Padron withstood a beating from TCU last year.

Maybe we'll try another onside kick
