I saw the SMU-Ohio St. games in 1950 and '51 in Columbus. Missed the others. Would love to see us play the Buckeyes.

GO PONIES!!!

We played Ohio State in Columbus in 1978. The year before we played them in the Cotton Bowl (1977).

I snuck in on you. I believe you were responding to Ponyte. We lost in '68.

mrydel- the real aerial circus was in 1950. IIRC at half-time SMU was behind 21-0. The second half was all Fred Benners and Johnny Champion. Final score 32-27 ponies. For many years that was the longest game played in the 'shoe as there were so many passes. A family friend who had played at OSU got us all tickets for that game. He was so upset and I was riding him so hard that my folks sent me to my aunts on the bus as they knew we would not make it peacefully in the car. :)

GO PONIES!!!

Mike Ford was the QB that pulled out the 35-35 tie in '78, wasn't he? That was a great "showcase" schedule with trips to Florida, Penn State and Ohio State, coming thru that stretch 1-1-1
