I've read about the
FAU Owls... they have a brand new stadium which opens in a few weeks and although small {30,000} looks sweet. They would have to have a major commitment to move up into the
BCS and get out of the
Sun Belt ASAP but... it would allow him to leave his family at home {Key West} and not have to uproot them. I actually could see him taking this job
IF... the
Owls are committed to their football program and are seriously wanting to make major strides. It would be a huge challenge, but being in
Fort Lauderdale would only help in recruiting.
If
Georgia were to fire
Richt and hire
Leach... watch out. His offense on a team loaded w/ talent like that? The
SEC is a tough conference, but they are used to low-scoring defensive battles.
21-17...
16-13...
24-20...
13-10... those types of games.
Leach would change that in a real hurry.
The thing I found most interesting about the article is they listed
10 schools that they feel could make a run at
Mike Leach. Much better than the
"take the New Mexico job because you won't get anything else" thread that was started here.
