my limited vision of our reality suggests that smu does not have the cred to get better treatment by ut,baylor,the big 12,tcu, the big east, tech or whoever is in a bcs league or has a similar standing....we turned our back on athletics for many,many years...and remember smu did not put up its money to hire june,a few interested alums have paid every bit of that...its still like pulling teeth to get anything done...the golf program gets little support,there is no mens track team,basketball is still unproven,at best...who would rally want us to attract tv money...the reality is ......(my only rant on this subject).

Golf just hired Josh Gregory, who won two national titles at Augusta St last year and the year before. He has almost already locked up a top 5 2013 recruiting class, and he's been here for 2 or 3 months maybe. Don't worry about golf.

And besides, the only other sport that really matters is basketball, which is a problem for us right now.

Men's golf, just figured I'd throw it out there since (and I am not blaming anyone) nobody ever has any damn idea what goes on with golf. It's a really great hire for athletics.
