Postby NomAnor » Sun Oct 02, 2011 10:53 am

Any one else ever notice that JJ never blames our kids for any thing or usese them as an excuse for a lose it is either bad lightinbg that causes dropped balls are the turf is messed up. On the flip side of that CP does nothing but blame his kids and ppl and the refs this is just one of many reasons why we are better than TCU now ppl notice these kind of things i know recruits can tell which coach will throw them under the bus to save their [deleted] and whi  ch coachs will back them no matter what YOUIR ALL CLASS JJ thanks

JJ has kept his cool regarding his players, however, when he was interviewed at half time on the way back to the locker room, he made some comments and had a pissed attitude in what he said, that showed a more Patterson type side. If I recall correctly, he said something about having to rely on eighteen to twenty year-olds to play the game (not in a positive way). And, that he was going back to have a talk to them about mistakes. He did not come off as a coach of a team that was up 17-10 at that time.

statesman, that is your thought. My take was that JJ was like, as I've seen before, a concered parent. Yes, at the half SMU was up, but remember last year? I was concerned too. He seemed like he knew that we were ok, but really should be doing better. JJ was never critical of any one player, no name calling. Note in post game interviews JJ's demeanor. Not a lot different. I think he expects more. Also note that DJ stated that coach called a good game.

Patterson singles out players and assistant coaches by name in blaming them. Pregame the announcers were saying how Patterson blamed a cornerback ( I do not recall his name) for much of the Baylor loss. And I recall very well a few years ago how he threw the offensive coordinator under the bus in a loss to Air Force. He was probably right in both cases but it was kind of classless considering he gets the big bucks.
