From a guy who knows nothing about the R&S, it looked like to me that JJ McD is starting to get the offense. If this is true, this season could get scary good real quick.

I liked that he was taking more shots down the field. I just wish his completion percentage would be north of 60%

I believe he gets it. The knock on McD as I understand it, has been his throwing accuracy. This needs to improve at least 20 per cent. Too many TD's unfulfilled.

20% increase would put him around 78%!! That would be silly. Brennan was around 70% for his career at Hawaii

I read he was in the low to mid 50's.

he is currently 109-189 = 57.67%

Why do you keep knocking this guy? His learning curb is straight up.

Don't think folks are knocking him so much, and yes, McD has picked it up nicely. The long ball is still a little off, but even he admits he needs some work. But what a pleasant surprise he has turned out to be.

This is what happens when you have experienced backup qbs. So nice not to be rolling out a freshman qb with no college games under his belt.

More game reps, more comfortable with offense. Hopefully this will translate into higher completion rate

Also our receivers have stepped up big time. Compare the way they played in the TCU game vs the UTEP game. Night and day difference. No more wishing for ES and Al to return.
