Well played, Cox!
Just got home from DFW late last night, but here are some thoughts from the game:
--> Their stadium is going to be nice, but I can't describe how much I hate that city, that school and its obnoxious fans.
--> Their secondary is pretty weak when you consider the quality of athletes they have and the fact that Patterson cut his coaching teeth AS A SECONDARY COACH.
--> Casey Pachall is no Andy Dalton. Big kid who throws pretty well, but has nowhere near the mobility and obviously not the experience.
--> SMU fans who were there were fantastic. Hats off to each of you.
--> Johnson & Johnson looked AWESOME.
--> TCU's dance team wins, hands down. Our cheerleaders/poms need uniforms like that. Wow. My 8-year-old asked a couple of questions I didn't know he knew about.
--> Some of the Frog fans around us were nice, but many were not, and then how many of them left in the third quarter? Your team went undefeated last year, you talk about being a big-time program, and you bolt in the third quarter? I always get angry when I see SMU fans leaving Ford Stadium early, but Frog fans were just as bad. THERE IS NO EXCUSE — STAY FOR THE ENTIRE GAME.
--> The mayhem on the field was a thing of beauty. I didn't join in for fear of my son getting run over, but I'm not ashamed to say I teared up.
WAY TO GO, PONIES! What a fantastic weekend.
